“My earliest known ancestor was a John Nichols, supposedly born in NC and married to an Elizabeth LNU. I am guessing that John was born sometime in the 1780s. He had a son named Samuel, born in TN in 1807 and another son named James, born in TN in 1809. James was my great grandfather. My grandfather was named Samuel Francis, after his uncle, and was born in AR. in 1848. My father was Willie Franklin Nichols, born in the Indian Territory in 1890. I was born in Pushmataha CO. OK. in 1940. I think that Samuel and James, sons of John were probably born in the Bledsoe or Marion CO. area of TN. You can condense this information and put it on the website if you want.
