· - All of these names appear repeatedly and commonly over several hundred years before and after the migration to America which started about 1715 and continued in “waves” thru 1796 when John Nichol/Anne Woodburn migrated to Philadelphia PA from Belfast and ended up in Coleraine Township, Belmont County Ohio as memorialized in the book The Descendants of John Nichol of Coleraine Township, Belmont County, Ohio by David Faris (1988). It should be noted that parts of the Nichol family remain in Northern Ireland (Ulster Province) to this day and never migrated. They can still be found in County Antrim and County Derry mainly.
